About our club

Background

The reason for the event is to get a few YLs together for a fun event to work as much DX as possible. This has never been done in the Falklands before with YLs only. Phone SSB operations only.

*** Please note the actual VP8YL_ call will have the final 3rd character of the suffix assigned to each lady at the event start.

On air will be "The Home Stations" (VP8LP QTH) and a short distance away "The Field Hut Stations" each location haveing up to two operational multiband HF stations

Meeting times

Normally some meet up via skype on Sundays at about 18:00 utc.
