GREENWICH MERIDIAN AT TUNSTALL E YORKS ACTIVATION

Why do it? Because we can, & it is all part of the fun of amateur radio.
What else do you do during a wind swept stormy Easter?

Easter 2016 G8GMU Brian & M3HBM Josh
sat at the place the Greenwich Meridian departs England for the North pole.

The 2 day operation 26th & 27th April was not without its drama. The carbon fibre vertical antenna support decided to fail
in on of the greater gusts of wind.
In best amateur radio tradition we carried on the next day with the bottom section of vertical missing.

Operation was mainly on 40 metres but was severely hampered by contest stations. Despite the setbacks an enjoyable weekend and good reason to air the Coventry amateur Radio Club callsign GX2ASF.
