CLUB MEMBER IS NEW QSL MANAGER FOR JERSEY

Mike Brown is the new QSL manager for the Channel Island of Jersey.

Mike has reported as follows:
As you all know Reg Allenet GJ3XZE was QSL manager for Jersey for many years and has done a sterling job. I only hope that I can follow in his footsteps. The last delivery I had was in October. I guess I received around 450 cards. I expect that IF we get the sunspots up and running in the next 18 months I will have many more than that to sort out.
One problem I have come across are cards for QSO's that have been made by visitors to the island for whom I have no address. If you are a visitor to Jersey can you please tell your contact your home call sign and have "Via" your home call put on the card. It would also help that if you wish the card/s to come via Jersey that you leave onward envelope/s and Jersey stamps at the club house or post to me personally. My address is on QRZ.com. The bureau has also asked that callsigns (on outgoing QSL cards) be written clearly as they get quite a number of cards that they cannot read. Please note that if you are not a member of the Jersey amateur radio society and therefore you don't have a
pigeon hole at the shack to collect cards from and I have no envelopes for you, I can only keep cards for the recommended 3 months. If you are registered on QRZ.com I will do my best to contact you by email to tell you I have cards for you. Many thanks to the visiting amateurs that have left envelopes and postage in the past which Reg has passed on to me.
