COLOSSUS VALVE APPEAL

The Colossus Computer, painstakingly rebuilt by Tony Sale & his team at Bletchley Park, needs your spare valves!

This working replica of the WW2 code breaking-computer uses 2500 valves from that era. They take great care to prolong the life of those valves by having a soft-start power supply. Nevertheless, valves still fail and of course are no longer in production. So hence this appeal for any valves surplus to your requirements. They would like any valves, because they can exchange those they can use for ones they can.

The valves Colossus uses are EF36 & 37, 807, 6K8, 6V6, 6J5, 5U4, VR92 & GT1C.
