RAYNET and the RADIO AMATEURS EMERGENCY NETWORK are volunteer emergency communications providers to County and District Emergency Planning Officers, Police, Fire and Ambulance services, The British Red Cross, St. John Ambulance Brigade, WRVS and any public utility.
Mid-Thames Raynet work with our local users and collaborate with other groups across Buckinghamshire and neighbouring groups. Regular exercises are held, providing communications for organised leisure runs, distance walks, half marathons and community events. The group is also an active participant in local and national emergency communications exercises.
Mid-Thames Raynet is affiliated to the RSGB and members are encouraged to join the Radio Amateurs Emergency Network Ltd.
Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of the month at the Beaconsfield Emergency Centre, starting at 19:45 pm.
Radio nets are held on other Mondays, starting at 20:00 pm on 144.625MHz (FM).
