Nicetown Amateur Radio Society was founded in 1967 by a group of radio amateurs who were particularly interested in homebrew construction.
Nowadays, the club has broadened its scope of interest to include operation on all the HF, VHF, UHF and Microwave amateur bands. The club regularly participates in contests, in particular VHF and HF Field Days.
In recent years, Nicetown Amateur Radio Society has started running Foundation and Intermediate training courses as part of its efforts to attract more people to the hobby. The club is planning to start offering Advanced training shortly.
The club meets every Tuesday at the Friendly Leisure Centre in Nicetown at 7pm.
