The Group’s activities fall under three headings:
Vintage Communications Equipment
Presentation of the Group’s collection of historic military and other communications equipment to the public in an educational and entertaining way. Admission to the museum includes admission to the radio hut (without further charge) on Wednesdays and Thursdays, also some Sunday afternoons depending on members' availability. All activities by the Group at Muckleburgh are on a voluntary basis.
Amateur Radio
Practice and promotion of amateur radio as a hobby. The Group operates amateur station GB2MC periodically when the radio hut is open to the public. It also participates in contests and other on-air special events.
It is a member of the Radio Society of Great Britain and the G-QRP Club; and is an affiliated member of the RAF Amateur Radio Society. Radio amateurs visiting Muckleburgh are made most welcome if they identify themselves to members of the Group on duty in the radio hut. Visitors to the area are also made welcome if they call in to the Group’s weekly 2m net, on Thursdays at 19.00 local time, on 144.775 MHz.
The Group monitors the Norwich repeater GB3NB on 145.625 MHz when the radio hut is open to provide talk-in facilities for amateurs seeking directions to reach Muckleburgh.
Information is provided for members of the public visiting Muckleburgh who wish to know more about amateur radio as a hobby.
Monthly meetings
The Group has a monthly programme of evening meetings which includes occasional talks/lectures, etc, on topics of interest to radio enthusiasts.
New members

At Muckleburgh: Easter to end of October, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am - 4pm, also some Sunday afternoons, 1pm - 4pm when members are available.
