Peterborough & District Amateur Radio Club has a broad membership base covering most aspects of the hobby. The club meets on a monthly basis with a cross section of subjects for meetings, from technical talks to on-air & chat evenings. The Club operates a 'net' on Monday evenings on 1.98MHz (alternative frequency 1.975MHz) at 8pm; all members are welcome to have a 'rag chew'.
If you are looking for a new hobby, the club can offer weekend training courses to enable the newcomer to get "on the air" within a week or so as a Foundation Transmitting Licence holder. In addition, the Club also holds courses, usually over 2 succesive weekends, for Intermediate licences. The Club is an accredited examination centre for the Foundation, Intermediate, and Full licence examinations.
