We are a National Society who have our membership located throughout the UK and overseas so is not practical to have a local venue for meetings with
our own equipment or "Shack".The call signs are,therefore activated from time to time from some of the members own stations subject to their own licence conditions.

"National Science Week & Special Event Stations"
The call sign GB0SSP was activated from the 12th to 19th March 2004 by Dennis K Egan GW4XKE & Ken J Eaton GW1FKY with Syd D Richards GW0PPG. who gave talks to the students with demonstrations from the Senior "Stanwell School Penarth" a small seaside town on the outskirts of Cardiff in the Vale of Glamorgan.This was by permission the Headmaster Mr Malcolm Parker, his staff the school Technical Officer David Rowles who took a nunber of photograpds during the period of operation.The Vale of Glamorgan Council gave support to this event promoted by Counciller Anthony M Ernest GW3LQE also one of the school Govenors with logistic support for the station and promotion of the QSL cards etc.
It is regreted that we record the passing of Syd D Richards GW0PPG RSARS. RAFARS.who passed away suddenly into the ranks of "Silent Keys" on the 12th September 2007.
