About our club

Background

HISTORY OF THE CLUB

The club was founded in 1990 by students and instructors on a RAE course being run at the Fairham Community College in Clifton Notts. Over the years it has met at a pub and various community centres. The club shack at the Fairham College was demolished in 2003 and the club moved to its present venue at Green's Mill in Nottingham.

EQUIPMENT

The club owns an FT100MP, an FT840, and a TS751E radios, Palstar AT1KM Matching Unit, and power supply units. We have a range of fixed aerials and "specials" which can be rigged for weekends.

TRAINING

We offer training on club nights to members at the 3 licence levels.

Meeting times

We meet on Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.30pm. Visitors are welcome on club nights.
