We are based at Hamstead House, West Heath, B31 3QY which is tucked away in the south west corner of Birmingham bordering Worcestershire.
The society was formed in 1955 and after being in several premises, we have been meeting in our current location since 1970.
We have open club nights Monday and Friday evenings from 19:30, We have our very successful coffee morning from 10:30 on a Tuesday with Armature Radio licence training classes on Thursday from 19:30, subject to demand with G8OWL.
We take radio contesting seriously at SBRS and contests (UKAC) are ran from the shack every Tuesday night 19:30 22:30 plus several others throughout the year. Contest training is carried out on the first Tuesday of the month (144Mhz UKAC).
We are a diverse group with many different roles, whether you want to operate, log, engineering, logistics or just bounce ideas from the experience in the room you will be welcome.
