The Carmarthen Amateur Radio Society (CARS) took part in this annual contest.
Seven members took part and helped in setting up the station and manning it during the day.
The club used an IC7400 set to the lowest power setting. A new 2m beam was set up on top of a 20ft pole and was rotated by hand as required.
Location was the top of Mynydd Llanllwni mountain about 393m ASL at IO72wa.
The club came 64th out of 92 places within the PW contest, in addition to also the square winner of IO72.
The weather was the best we could have asked for, sunny and with views all around west Wales. Snowdon clearly visible in the distance.
