First place awarded to FRARS - Club members who took part in the RSGB 70MHz cumulative sessions on several Sunday mornings earlier this year were delighted to hear they have won first place in the contest.
The club used Tony G3PFM's HF rig and his homebrew Meon transverter. The club's homebrew linear amplifier was added in-line and output fed to a pair of 11 element yagis. The aerial rotator performed well considering the amount of load it had to cope with. Conditions were variable, with best DX into Scotland.
Our thanks to all those who came on the air during the contests and enabled us to gain the winning score. See you next year !
