We’ve been advised by BAe security they are reducing staff to the point it may be difficult to sign out the Club keys outside normal office hours. It will still be possible but there may be a long wait if the officer is patrolling on the far side of the site, so be prepared and please remain patient. The process is unchanged - show your current membership card and sign the key log. Longer term the individual companies populating the site will have to secure their own properties so it’s likely even this reduced operation may cease. The Committee have decided to offer copy main door keys to members with at least one year’s membership and these can be secured from Martin 2E0LWG for a £10 deposit, refundable should you leave the Club (and return the key of course !). The other ‘minor’ keys to access the shack, radios and other cupboards will be located in a new combination key safe as opposed to the current key operated version. The combination will be changed at regular intervals (and also after the AGM when membership renewals are due) and posted on the members only reflector.
