CQ magazine hosts a number of 'World Wide" contests during the year. These are specific mode events; SSB, CW, RTTY and one of the best known in the series is the "CQ WPX" event.
The results for the "CQ WPX SSB 2007" contest have just been published in the January 2008 edition of 'CQ Magazine' (www.cq-amateur-radio.com) and Cray Valley Radio Society members rose to the top in this prestigious event. Multi-million dollar stations are the norm for this type of event - the 'very rich, big boys' come out of the wood work for these events.
So being listed with a 'basic' station is excellent work indeed. Here are the CVRS members who reached fame!
