SIX "NEW" FULL LICENCEES! ANOTHER CRAY VALLEY SUCCESS!

CRAY VALLEY RS ENTERED SIX CANDIDATES FOR THE FEBRUARY 2010 FULL LICENCE EXAMINATION - ALL PASSED!

Chris Whitmarsh G0FDZ and his team of tutors held the second of the club's "short form" Advanced Licence Courses from September 2009 till February 2010. These involve a great deal of personal study by the candidates. This is aided by dedicated personal tutors (Elmers - the Americans call them!) and a number of weekend classes. The final 'push' is a series of three Saturdays intense study - or revision - just prior to the actual test date!
All six candidates worked very hard throughout the time frame - as did the team of tutors! "Blood, Sweat & Tears" isn't just a song!
All six candidates passed - that's six new "Full" licencees for the club - and Amateur Radio!
However, we must say goodbye (and thanks) to Dave Portch G0KPZ the Examination Secretary - this was his last course - he stands down for personal reasons!
